Scope

The Challenge

What we were called in to solve.

The customer was running John Deere Operations Center, Climate FieldView, a separate scouting app, two drone vendors, and SAP S/4HANA for accounting. None of the systems were integrated. Yield numbers reported to the CFO arrived after the prescription decisions for the next season were already made.

The agronomy team trusted only their own spreadsheets. The CTO had given up trying to reconcile.

The Approach

How JMJ engineered the engagement.

JMJ deployed a sovereign farm data fabric (PostgreSQL + PostGIS) inside the customer's private cloud. We retired the duplicate platforms, integrated the customer's two preferred field-data sources (John Deere + Climate), and brought drone scouting in-house on a 14-day cadence using an NDAA-compliant Hylio fleet.

We built a custom prescription engine trained on three years of the customer's historical yield, and connected outputs bidirectionally to SAP S/4HANA. The CFO and the agronomy lead now see the same numbers from the same source.

Outcomes

What changed for the customer.

18%
Reduction in input spend, season 1
11%
Yield uplift on enrolled fields, season 1
1
Operating picture from field to CFO
"
We stopped arguing about whose number was right. That alone was worth the engagement.
